Africa’s
most versatile new music artist
Hugo Da Conceicao Chichava, aka HC, is Africa’s most versatile new
artist. Born in Maputo, Mozambique he incorporates hip hop, soul, rap, rock and house into his unique musical style.
Currently working on three major projects; his first solo project “Method To My Madness”,
Production on M.G from Angola’s “Mann Listen”, as well as featuring in a song on Carpet Mafia’s debut
album “Pretzelplex Bohemia”, which he will soon be performing live with them.
Rapping
since the age of 13, HC started off as a young freestyle rapper and lyricist before joining the group “The Silverados”.
Their launch single “Number One” soon reached chart status in Mozambique.
Infiltrating the music scene,
HC’s music has spread across Africa, Europe and the USA collaborating with some of South Africa’s hottest new
talent including Lungelo, Kritsi, Ameen, Hipe (Unreleased Records), The New Sons Cartel (NSC) and The Carpet Mafia.
HC is as in tune with business as he is in music. Branching off into producing and launching his own independent
music label, Silverado Entertainment, his creativity and passion is infectious.

was born from HC’s dream to give musicians a platform to express themselves through their music and lyrics. This vision
aims to capture new talent, who like himself, do not have the financial backing to support.
